Waterproofing for Homeowners

For damp problems above ground, you can use our industry-leading products yourself or ask your local builder to help.

We sell damp proofing packs online that include all the extras you’ll need for a successful outcome with minimal waste - or you can call us for help and advice.
For waterproofing damp basements or cellars we offer a completely joined up service - from initial consultations and advice through to installation by our nationwide network of professional installers.

As the leading independent waterproofing and damp proofing company in the UK we can  also liaise with your architect or contractor directly to ensure their plans will meet the relevant British Standard and to minimise the risk of failure. In fact, we are often asked by these professionals to design the waterproofing scheme due to our reputation for success.

Our fully guaranteed service offers complete peace of mind. Indeed, our most robust waterproofing specification is supported by something completely unique - a design and installation service backed by a 10-year latent defects and consequential loss warranty from a UK based, A-rated insurer.

Our network of contractors also offer annual maintenance and support agreements to ensure long term success. Effective waterproofing is the foundation of a successful project. We are often called in to advise and rectify situations where an expensive build may have failed due to ineffective waterproofing design and installation. You can imagine the damage, costs and inconvenience of getting this vital part of a project wrong.

So it makes sense to deal with the industry leaders from the start. Our interests are the same as yours - getting it right first time.

Questions & Answers

  • I need to tank my basement - what do I need to consider?

Converting a basement, or extending a property below ground, can be a great way of increasing the living space and adding financial value to the property.

It is very important to choose the right products and contractor to undertake the work, and that you have a secure gurantee and maintenance agreement in place from the contractor for the waterproofing system.

  • I've got damp walls -  what's the solution?

With high levels of rainfall in the UK, the average home is subjected to a lot of rainwater, so it is no surprise that damp can be a big problem.

Damp problems such as rising damp, condensation or penetrating damp can cause problems to internal wall finished and contribute to a damp unhealthy environment.

  • Do I need damp proofing or waterproofing?

We are often asked to explain the difference between waterproofing and damp proofing.

Consider the external ground levels: if the damp is showing in a property with external ground levels that are higher than the internal floor level, a waterproofing system should be used. If external levels are lower, then a damp proofing system is required.

“There is no way that I would be living in this property now had I not got a cavity drain system to protect my house, my property and my family”
