HydroCoat 905-CM

Newton HydroCoat 905-CM is a water-based curing compound which inhibits the effects of sun and wind on liquid waterproofing membranes and so extends the curing time to ensure full cement hydration and full strength of the product.

HydroCoat 905-CM is a specially formulated, water-based curing compound utilising advanced acrylic copolymers, which is designed for use with HydroCoat 103 2K and HydroCoat 107 Elastic 2K cement/acrylic waterproofing membranes, and HydroCoat 203-RM repair mortar, where it inhibits the effects of the hot summer sun and hot winds and so extends the curing time to ensure full cement hydration and full strength of the product.

    Key Benefits

    • Ready-mixed and ready to apply on-site – spray onto freshly placed repair mortars, fairing coatings, cementitious coatings or concrete.
    • A convenient and straightforward alternative to traditional curing aids such as polythene sheeting, damp hessian or sand.
    • A stable product that does not discolour or yellow, and does not significantly alter the appearance of mortar/concrete.
    • Retains over 85% of the water in the repair mortar during the first 72 hours.
    • Safe, water-based product ideal for use in confined areas.
    • Non-degrading membrane which enhances adhesion when overcoated with Newton specialist coatings.

    • As an acrylic resin sealer to form an elastic, durable matrix within the surface of cementitious substrates.
    • HydroCoat 905-CM is water-based and BBA-certified, making it ideal for use in confined areas. The product also conforms to the requirements for water retention given in ASTM C309.
    • When cured, HydroCoat 905-CM shows excellent resistance to blushing and weathering and can therefore be used as a sealer coat for concrete.
