BBA certified, 3mm meshed cavity drain membrane for below ground – the meshed surface provides an excellent ’key’ for lime mortars, renders, plasters or dabbed plasterboard.

With its 3mm stud, Newton CDM 503 Mesh Membrane is just 3.5mm in overall thickness, and is the preferred meshed membrane where space is at a premium.

    Key Benefits

    • Newton CDM 503 Mesh Membrane is guaranteed against deterioration for 30 years, and has a life expectancy of at least 50 years (DIN 9001:2000)
    • It is inert with high compressive loading stability
    • It is highly resistant to water, alkalies, saline solutions and organic acids, and it is not effected by minerals. It is also resistant to bacteria, fungi and other small organisms

    The British Standard 8102:2009 Code of Practice for Protection of Below Ground Structures Against Water From the Ground is the main design guide for structural waterproofing in the UK.

    The Newton CDM System is a maintainable system, so complies with BS 8102 requirements. The standard also specifies that: “a waterproofing specialist should be included as part of the design team so that an integrated waterproofing is created”

    Therefore it is our recommendation that the Newton CDM System is installed by a Newton Specialist Contractor (NSBC).
