The PCA examination preparation course is ideally suited for individuals who have taken the CSSW training course but have not recently sat an exam and wish to undertake the CSSW qualification.
Whilst the Certificated Surveyor in Structural Waterproofing (CSSW) training course offered by Newton provides a comprehensive tuition in the subject, we strongly recommend that candidates for the CSSW exam follow up the four-day intensive course with this 2-day Examination Preparation course, as the pass rate for those who have attended this course is considerably higher than those who have not.

Newton Waterproofing Systems have been given permission by the Property Care Association (PCA) to deliver this course at our head office in Tonbridge, Kent.
1st Day – Legal and Health & Safety Examination Preparation
The first day of the course is focused on Legal and Health & Safety examination preparation, so candidates who have already passed the CSRT (Certificated Surveyor in Remedial Treatments) Legal and Health & Safety exam are exempt for this exam and are not required to attend this day.
For those that haven’t already passed, this day will ensure candidates have a comprehensive understanding of the legal aspects of surveying and report writing which will form part of both the Waterproofing and Health & Safety Legal exams. Candidates will be shown recent past papers to examine and full guidance will be given in preparing for the CSSW examination. Homework will be set on this day before the candidates receive mock questions on the second day.
2nd Day – CSSW Examination Preparation
On the second day of the course, the course tutor will explain the format of the waterproofing examination paper. Candidates will be able to discuss the answers to papers from recent years, as well as resolve any areas they are unsure of. Candidates who attended the first day of the course will submit their homework for review and we will be able to offer further advice and guidance helping candidates maximise their chance of passing.
