- Self-Levelling Waterproof Strength: HydroCoat 1 Screed 2K is an epoxy and polymer-modified cementitious screed for levelling and waterproofing concrete substrates. Its flowing consistency supports application by pouring or pumping, resulting in an even, durable, lightly dimpled surface finish.
- Rapid Hardening, Durable Performance: HydroCoat 1 Screed 2K hardens quickly to form a tough, abrasion-resistant wearing screed. Consequently, it withstands trafficking while allowing resin coatings and screeds to be applied within 4–24 hours.

Self-Levelling Cementitious Screed – Technical Overview
Applied to concrete substrates, HydroCoat 1 Screed 2K delivers effective levelling and waterproofing as part of an internal Type A system. As a result, it creates a durable base suitable for trafficked floor areas. The epoxy and polymer-modified formulation exhibits controlled flow, enabling application by pouring or pumping. Consequently, installers achieve a smooth, even finish across both level and sloping substrates.
HydroCoat 1 Screed 2K rapidly hardens to develop high early strength with minimal moisture content. Therefore, the system allows installers to apply subsequent resin coatings and screeds within short overcoat times.
The dense cementitious structure has low water permeability, even under pressure. As a result, the screed provides reliable waterproofing performance while resisting abrasion and wear. The screed can be applied over variable thicknesses, making it suitable for uneven substrates. It performs reliably on damp concrete and supports rapid programme progression in refurbishment and new-build internal floor applications.
This self-levelling cementitious coating forms the screed element of the Newton HydroCoat 1 System. When used with Newton HydroCoat 1 Render, it delivers a complete internal Type A waterproofing solution.
