HydroBond 109-LM

  1. Cold-Applied Resilience: HydroBond 109-LM is a flexible, single-component liquid rubber waterproofing membrane that delivers seamless, cold-applied protection. Specifically, it is designed for external use on earth-retaining structures such as basements and foundation walls. Moreover, this rubber waterproofing membrane offers exceptional puncture resistance, with up to 850% elasticity and a 95% recovery memory. Consequently, this performance allows the membrane to accommodate movement while maintaining long-term waterproofing integrity.
  2. Engaged Waterproofing: Furthermore, with outstanding puncture resistance, HydroBond 109-LM fully engages with the substrate to prevent lateral water tracking. Once cured, the rubber waterproof membrane forms a continuous, seamless barrier that remains flexible under load. As a result, it suits all below-ground and earth-retained structures, from domestic basements to large-scale civil engineering projects.
  3. Certified Reliability: In addition, HydroBond 109-LM forms a key component of the Newton HydroBond® System and holds BDA Agrément Certificate BAB 16-031/04/A. Accordingly, the NHBC recognises the system as suitable for Type A waterproofing to Grades 1a, 1b, 2, and 3. As such, this certification confirms suitability for professional below-ground waterproofing where compliance and performance assurance are essential.

Liquid Rubber Waterproofing Membrane – Technical Overview

Overall, HydroBond 109-LM is a flexible, single-component, cold-applied and seamless rubber waterproofing membrane used primarily for the external waterproofing of earth-retaining structures. For example, typical applications include basements and foundation walls. Once applied, the membrane cures to form a seamless, fully bonded waterproof barrier.

Moreover, HydroBond 109-LM is extremely puncture resistant, with elasticity of 850% and a 95% recovery memory. As a result, the membrane becomes fully engaged with the substrate to prevent water tracking and is suitable for all below-ground and earth-retained structures. This includes applications ranging from domestic basements to the largest civil engineering projects.

Finally, HydroBond 109-LM is a constituent product of the Newton HydroBond® System, supported by BDA Agrément Certificate BAB 16-031/04/A. Therefore, it is accepted by the NHBC as a suitable waterproofing system for Type A Waterproofing to Grades 1a, 1b, 2 & 3, in line with BS 8102:2022.
