Our injection hose system, part of the Newton LeakInject System, is designed to prevent water from penetrating through the construction joints of below-ground concrete structures.

The HydroTank 302 Injection Hose is fixed within the construction joints prior to the placement of the adjoining section of concrete wall/slab. Once the concrete placement and curing is complete, the hose is injected with specialist resin material which penetrates into the concrete surrounding the construction joint along the full length of the hose to permanently seal any cracks, capillaries, pores and honeycombing within the structure.

What is an Injection Hose?

Resin Injection Hose Waterbar

An injection hose is a high performance waterbar system that works with both polyurethane and acrylic resins.

Depending on the type of resin used, the hose can be flushed out after the initial injection material, allowing for future injections if necessary. This creates a Type B waterproofing system that ensures complete joint sealing and maintains integrity over time.

What are the Advantages of an Injection Hose System?

  • Can withstand permanent water pressure up to 2 bar
  • Compatible with polyurethane and acrylic resins
  • No need for kicker or rebate, reducing labour costs
  • Unaffected by weather exposure or site conditions
  • Faster installation compared to conventional waterbars

What are the Applications of Injection Resin?

Injection hoses can be used in various construction scenarios such as:

  • Construction joints in structures retaining earth or water
  • Sealing construction joints after completion of the concrete structure
  • Filling voids in poorly compacted concrete at construction joints
  • Suitable for reinforced concrete block walls, steel piled walls, and brick/block walls
