Total Protection Against Radon and Ground Water

The PAC-500 ‘Positive Air Curtain’ System is a combined basement waterproofing and radon mitigation solution which provides Type C waterproofing protection combined with full radon protection measures within earth-retaining structures.

Installed by trained and approved Specialist Basement Contractors, the patented solution combines our CDM System for cavity drain waterproofing with a positive pressure air delivery system.

Where protection against other ground gases, such as methane or carbon dioxide (CO2) is required, the system can be enhanced with
additional products as specified by our partner, Prestige Air Technology.

    The PAC-500 ‘Positive Air Curtain’ System is a combined basement waterproofing and radon mitigation solution which provides Type C waterproofing protection combined with full radon protection measures within earth-retaining structures.

    This patented system combines the Newton CDM System with a positive pressure air delivery system, all installed by our Specialist Basement Contractor Network.

    The Newton Specialist Basement Contractor undertaking the work guarantees both the design and installation of the system and these can be further underwritten by an independent insurance scheme. Prestige Air provide integrity testing for the gas resistance of the installed membranes.

    The PAC-500 System collects and removes both water and radon that enters the structure, utilising components that have been designed for this purpose.

    Our cavity drain products including 508R, CDM OverTape, CDM Joint Tape and CDM Rope have been
    tested independently and carry certification that they are suitable for use in radon mitigation systems.

    Membrane joints are double-sealed to ensure full protection and reduce the risk of leaks due to imperfections.

    Once sealed, the Type C System is enhanced by the introduction of a low pressure, high volume air supply behind the membranes via the PAC input manifold and pressure delivery unit (PDU).

    This method reduces radon ingress as well as removing it from behind the sealed membranes.

    On installation completion the system is tested and verified by Prestige Air Technology for complete peace of mind. The system can also be upgraded to protect against ground gases such as methane and CO2 with additional components added as required to the system design.
