The BBA is the British Board of Agrément, an independent body for the certification, auditing and testing of construction industry suppliers and their products, with a focus on promoting high standards. BBA certification is recognised and highly regarded across the construction industry as a mark of quality for both products and companies in providing outstanding building and construction materials.
At Newton Waterproofing, we work with various third-party organisations that provide independent testing and accreditations across the construction industry. The BBA certifies many of our waterproofing systems for their outstanding performance and ability to prevent water penetration.

100% recycled and high-quality HDPE cavity drain waterproofing membrane for floor applications within the Newton CDM System. Also, the membrane is designed with more studs per square metre to deliver a higher level of compressive resistance than standard cavity drain membranes, and is independently tested as an effective barrier to radon ground gases.
Also, we offer a heavier, stronger 8mm cavity drain membrane that has been tested and certified to block radon, methane, CO2, and hydrocarbons. It is also the chosen membrane for use within our patented ground gas and waterproofing system, Newton PAC-500.
100% recycled and 20mm deep, HDPE cavity drain floor membrane for use within the Newton CDM System. With its 20 mm deep stud profile, Newton CDM 520 eco is a high drainage capacity floor membrane, and is generally specified where it is anticipated that there may be a risk of severe water penetration.
High-quality HDPE cavity drain waterproofing membranes, supplied in several sizes and in 500g/m2 and 700g/m2 variants for application to walls, floors, vaults, and tunnels as part of the Newton CDM System for below-ground waterproofing applications.
This high-quality HDPE membrane features a woven HDPE mesh thermally welded to its front face. This meshed surface allows for the direct application of various plaster and render finishes, adhesive ‘dabs’ and plasterboards making it suitable for use in both new construction and for applications over existing walls where damp is a problem.
A high-quality HDPE cavity drain membrane for application to walls, floors, vaults, and tunnels as part of the Newton CDM System for below-ground waterproofing applications. At just 3mm deep, CDM 503 is ideal for use in spaces where every inch counts.
This meshed cavity drain membrane is suitable for wall applications within the Newton CDM System. It’s 3mm depth and thermally welded HDPE mesh make it ideal for tight spaces and direct plaster or render finishes.
Newtonite System – Damp Proofing
Lastly, this HDPE damp proofing membrane has a rot-proof polypropylene mesh welded to the surface as a key for plasters, renders and ‘dot & dab’ plasterboard. Available in a number of sizes, Newtonite 803 Mesh is suitable for damp proofing above-ground walls in new constructions and over contaminated or damp backgrounds in existing buildings.
Indeed, we fully understand the importance of ensuring that waterproofing products and systems are of the highest possible standard. Water penetration can cause huge amounts of damage to buildings and their contents and can even pose a risk to the health and life of the occupants in certain environments.
The BBA is the UK’s leading building product certification organisation. For over 50 years, they have been testing and approving building products across the construction industry. Industry experts run the independent body, conducting audits, inspections, and product testing across diverse areas.
