For many years, Newton Waterproofing has been operating from our head office in Tonbridge, Kent, supplying a wide range of waterproofing and damp proofing products across the country.

The head office has also been home to the Newton School of Waterproofing, which offers comprehensive training courses covering all aspects of waterproofing in accordance with British Standard 8102:2022.

Founded in 1848, we are proud to be the oldest and largest independent waterproofing company in the country, and as a family business with over 170 years of experience under our belt, our experts have a huge wealth of skills and knowledge, delivering the quality care and attention that every project deserves.

Now, in 2022, we’ve expanded our offering by officially opening a new Northern Branch in Leeds, giving our customers across the North and Midlands quicker and easier access to our extensive range of waterproofing products, technical services, and delivery options.

What are the Benefits?

First and foremost, the opening of the new Northern Branch gives our customers in the North of the country easier access to our wide range of products and services.

Secondly, as part of our extensive training programme and a commitment to keeping our customers up to date with best practice, customers in the North will also be able to access the full range of Newton School of Waterproofing training courses at the new Leeds centre, as well as RIBA-approved CPD training courses.

In addition, with our own delivery vehicles now operating out of the Northern Branch as well, our tracked delivery services on our fleet of Newton vehicles will also be expanding across the country.

Our guaranteed, next-day deliveries were only previously available across London, the Home Counties and the South East. Now, however, our fleet of dedicated delivery vehicles operates from both the Newton head office in Tonbridge, and the new Northern Branch in Leeds.

The result is that our customers can rely far less on national courier networks, enabling them to plan and schedule their work more accurately, with the added assurance of a reliable and timely delivery service.

Furthermore, thanks to our live delivery tracking software, customers will be able to see the exact location and estimated time of arrival for their product delivery, as well as receiving immediate digital proof of delivery.

What Products are Available?

All our waterproofing products are in stock and ready to deliver across the North.

These include:

• Internal and external ‘Type A’ waterproofing, including pre- and post-applied gas and waterproofing membranes, liquid-applied membranes, tanking slurries and renders.
• Integral ‘Type B’ waterproofing, including injection hose waterbars and injection resins, hydrophilic waterbars, and systems for sealing tie-bolt holes and service entries.
• Internal ‘Type C’ cavity drain waterproofing, such as BBA approved cavity drain membranes, meshed membranes, drainage channels, insulation, and packaged pumping systems.
• Advanced pump options, including systems for ground water, clean water, wastewater and sewage, control panel and alarm options, and inverters and batteries for backup power.
• Damp proofing solutions, such as internal wall membranes, epoxy floor DPMs and coatings, damp proof courses and DPC ancillaries, and damp/gas proofing sheet membranes.

Through this wide range of UK product partnerships, you can get hold of other specialist construction supplies from both our Tonbridge facility, and now our Northern branch, too.

• Ardex – an independent, family-owned manufacturer of high-performance flooring and tiling products. The partnership enables us to supply an entire range of floor screeds, concrete repair products, smoothing and levelling compounds, and damp-proof membranes.
• Rawlplug – the company responsible for the invention of the first ever wall plug in 1910. As a distribution partner, we have access to a portfolio of more than 30,000 products, suitable for areas of construction including roofwork, joinery, roads and bridges, steel, concrete and civil engineering structures and interior finishings.
• Tarmac – the UK’s leading sustainable building materials business. Tarmac offer a diverse range of solutions for the UK construction sector, and as a distributor, Newton can supply Tarmac’s range of non-shrink construction grouts, high-performance repair concretes and their breathable, renovating Limelite plasters.
